New York Says Thank You Movie
Today, more than 50 scouts, leaders, and family members will represent Pack 1776 in the Danville 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony. These individuals will join thousands of scouts around the country to show respect to those involved with the September 11 events.
Can't join us at the Memorial? You can still share our spirit by watching the film New York Says Thank You here.
The documentary features a group of New Yorkers who turn the tables on America—giving back to local communities as a way to say thank you for the country’s support in the years following the devastating terrorist attacks. One service project includes the reconstruction of the tornado-ravaged Little Sioux Scout Ranch in Iowa.
Find out what other scouts around the country are doing to commemorate this event at the Scout Surge website.

Hello Pack 1776
Next Sunday, the Exchange Club of San Ramon Valley is holding their annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, and this year marks the 10th anniversary. Every year, the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are invited to participate. Last year, our Pack 1776 boys participated in the Flag Ceremony, for a memorable and moving experience. I will be there and would be honored if any of the Cubs and Leaders would participate in the ceremony.
We will send out an official Evite shortly. Please respond as soon as you can, so that I may give them an approximate head count of 1776 Cubs. Class A uniforms are required. More details here.
Thank you,
Cubmaster John

Flag Planting Recap
A huge thank you to the loyal scouts who traveled all the way to the Presidio in San Francisco to honor our fallen soldiers and veterans on Memorial Day weekend. Each scout assisted with the “planting” of an American flag at the headstones of the military cemetery, joining other Cub Scout packs from all over the Bay Area.
Our Scouts included:
Aidan L
Alex E
Dylan W
Emmett L
Ethan M (and his sister Zoe)
Hayden C
Jack P
James S
Joshua K
Each scout earned a special Memorial Day patch for their efforts.
This is truly one of the most meaningful acts of community service our boys can perform.
