Pack 1776,

We distributed hangers, picked up donations, and delivered our collection to the Food Bank. So what happens next?? Find out with us at the San Francisco Food Bank on Sunday, Jan 16th. We will sort, package, and distribute food to the community. This is not just a Go-See-It. We will GO-DO-IT and get our hands dirty (Well, just a metaphor, you know. We should actually keep our hands really clean during this event!) Siblings age 4 and above welcome. Parent participation is required.

Look for an evite coming to your mailbox soon. Please RSVP by Dec 17th with the number of the following so we can plan accordingly:

  • Children age 4-8 years
  • Children age 8-11 years
  • Adults

More detail below. Contact Stella Lei if you have questions. Thanks.

ATTIRE:

  • Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects. Anyone wearing sandals, flip-flops, or any other shoe with an open toe will not be able to participate in the project.
  • Because you'll be helping to repack food, please wear casual and clean clothing, long pants, securely fastened jewelry, and comfortable (no open-toe) shoes.
  • We suggest dressing in layers, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool.

PARKING INFORMATION:

  • Please utilize available free street parking in front of our building (4-hour time limit) so that our agency shoppers can use our parking lot to load their vehicles.
  • After 4pm and weekend volunteers: our south parking lot by the loading dock is also available at this time

WHERE TO REPORT:

  • We ask all volunteers to sign in upon arrival.

CCLF Craft Boutique – Scout Volunteers Needed – 12/10/10

Pack 1776,

On Friday December 10th, the Coyote Creek PTA is hosting the CCLF Holiday Craft Boutique in the MPR and they have asked for our assistance with this event.

We will need 3 to 4 scouts from 3pm to 5 pm and 3 to 4 Scouts from 5pm to 7pm. We will also need at least 2 adult leaders for each time period. If you are able, you can volunteer for both time slots.

Scouts will be announcing raffle winners and making and serving (and eating) popcorn. It should be a ton of fun!

Let me know if you are interested in helping and make sure to wear your class A uniforms since this will be a great recruiting event.

Please pass this on to any interest Webelos families and tell them to contact me if I can provide any more information. Also, there's lots more information about Troop 60 at www.danvilletroop60.org.

HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE AND COIN COLLECTION
December 6th - 13th

Coyote Creek PTA will be collecting gifts for our friends at Nystrom Elementary School in Richmond.

Each year we collect new, wrapped gifts that include a small toy and a healthy treat (granola bar, snack crackers, etc).

All gifts should be wrapped and labeled with the grade and gender of the intended recipient. Please look for the collection containers in the MPR and the office.

During the gift drive we will also be collecting loose change to help support the many needs Nystrom has throughout the year. Collection containers will be located in each classroom.

The children at Nystrom greatly appreciate any gift as this may be the only one they receive.

Thank you for your help and generosity!!

Webelos II Event with Troop 815

Message from Troop 815 ...

Hello Cub Scout Webelos 2 and Parents,

You are invited to join Troop 815 at Indoor Rock Climbing this weekend – Saturday, December 4, 7:30-9:30 p.m. (note time change), at Diablo Rock Gym in Concord.  This event is great fun for all the boys and very important if you’re interested in joining Troop 815.

The cost is $15 per Webelos 2 Cub Scout (free for parents, who don’t climb), which is collected at the door along with the permission slip and liability form.  I will forward the liability form later.

We’ll meet at Diablo Rock Gym, starting at 7:30 p.m.  Have your boys wear a Class B t-shirt and gym clothes.  Following a quick registration, boys will climb under the supervision of members of Troop 815.   Webelos 2 parents will stay to watch and encourage.  In addition, parents will attend a brief informational meeting hosted by Troop 815 Boy Scouts.  9:30 is an outside time; you may depart earlier but experience tells us the Webelos won’t want to leave!

Diablo Rock Gym is located at 1220 Diamond Way Suite 140, Concord.   Details in the links below.

RSVP via email with your name, your son’s name and Cub Scout Pack number.  If you have questions, call me at 925.968.1877.
