Mark your calendar for the upcoming Bike Rodeo. This is a great opportunity to learn about bike safety and earn the bicycle belt loop or pin. It's even better if you can help out. Check the flyer and contact Adrianne if you need more details. Don't forget to wear your uniform!
Wanted: Used Bikes
Adopt a Family Bikes is a local non profit run by St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. They need your help! Do you (or a friend or neighbor) have a used bike or trike you could donate? The volunteers will clean, repair, and safety check them before donating them to non profits such as Monument Crisis Center, Salvation Army, etc. Check out the website at www.adoptafamilybikes.org.
Bikes can be dropped off at the repair shop in the Rose Garden Center at 730 Camino Ramon, Suite 150, Danville. Approximate hours are 6-9 pm weeknights and 10-5 pm weekends. Bikes are needed before Dec. 7. A donation of $5-10 per bike is suggested to help pay for parts, helmets, and bike locks. Volunteers are always welcome, no experience necessary. You can also fulfill some of the requirements of the Cycling Merit Badge. Contact Rand Mahoney, 964-1641, [email protected].
